Hungry Hearts Diner: A Tale of Star-Crossed Souls

My friend recently introduced me to this title as he was searching for an idle mobile game that didn’t require internet connection to play. Boy, did he find a good one because I thought this game was wonderfully crafted with thoughtful back stories, simple yet entertaining game play, calming background music and very cute art. Yes, I know, everything one looks for in a game lol! In case it wasn’t clear, this game is called Hungry Hearts Diner: A Tale of Star-Crossed Souls.


You are a little old lady running your husband’s Japanese diner. Various types of people come in to your shop, so you expand your repertoire to take on their requests for different dishes. This is where the game differentiates itself from a typical diner dash game. By fulfilling your customers’ requests, you learn of their heartwarming (or tear-jerking) stories and their wishes for Tanabata, which this game sets its premise around.
